Urologic Nursing Practice
Urology has always been an integral part of my nursing practice. I would like to thank SUNA for the dedication and hard work that the organization has provided to health professionals throughout the years. Urology is a very specialized practice, and SUNA has been the gold standard in both knowledge and patient care.

It was a great conference! The topics were timely and even though I have been in urology for almost 25 years, I still learned something new to take back to my work place.

Special Series on Urodynamics - Traces: Making Sense of Urodynamics
After many years in urology nursing (many of it still doing urodynamic testing), it was truly a pleasure to complete the comprehensive urodynamic series by Dr. Mikel Gray. Mikel is a colleague and a great teacher. The organization of this large body of information was very well done and a great review for any professional in our field of work. I have already suggested it to many. Huge thanks to all concerned!

Free Contact Hours
I just want to say how great it is to have free contact hours from SUNA. It is one of the best perks to being a member! It really helps with the PGP contact hour accrual for continence. Thanks so much!

Opportunities for Personal and Professional Growth
I was speechless when SUNA President Debbie Hensley told me I received the President's Trophy for Outstanding Contributions to Urologic Nursing. It is my honor to be a part of SUNA. I've had so many opportunities for personal and professional growth because of SUNA. I so appreciate the opportunities SUNA has given me. But more important, the friendships I have made among the SUNA members are priceless. I only wish I could have been there in Chicago. Please share how honored I am to receive this award. It is without a doubt, a high point in my career.

Networking ~ SUNA Has the Best, Most Supportive People!
I have been going to the SUNA Annual Conferences since the late 1990s. The first SUNA conference I went to I didn't know anyone. I had never been to Texas and when I got there, I thought "What were you thinking?" At that meeting I met people who have become wonderful friends. One of them was Cheryl LeCroy. She was so friendly and made me feel like I really belonged at SUNA. By the end of the conference, I felt it was the best conference I have ever been to! The friends I have made at SUNA, I see almost every year. We chat, we catch up with each other. Any organization is only as good as the people that are part of it. SUNA has some of the best, most supportive people I have ever met. It is both an honor and privilege to belong to SUNA.

Successful Continence Program
The help SUNA provided me to begin our continence program at the Center for Women, Mid Dakota Clinic, was what made it happen. My first conference was in Nashville, TN, 2000. I knew NOTHING about making a successful program, but with the foundation of knowledge provided by SUNA, the program grew and flourished. The personal fulfillment, the joy of helping women with this embarrassing problem, the friendships made, the many wonderful contacts and friends formed at the conferences have made my days in urology/gyn a blessing.
In January I decided it was time to “hang up my stethoscope,” or more appropriately “my catheters” in this case. I have a wonderful partner who is continuing our continence clinic. She is a member of SUNA and is aware of the benefits you have to offer. We have hired another nurse practitioner and the first thing she did was join SUNA at our recommendation.
Thank you for the educational programs offered, and the credentialing that really does test your knowledge. I am so glad I took the test in 2003, it offers more credibility to continence programs. I would be very honored to maintain my CURN, Retired, it has been a big part of my professional life. Sincerely,
Nancy Spilde, SPRN, CURN
